Enhanced CERs are usually at the end of my summative assessments, but in order to help train students to increase their writing skills some things were added. A rubric on scoring helps students visualize what is expected, and a check list reminds students of aspects that need to be included in order to write a strong CER.

Daily, Google slides are used to guide students through the lesson, reinforce instructions, and give them a sense of how the lesson is tied together. Utilizing more color in the slides, more contrasting font choices, and better transitions, this can elevate the teacher's presentation slides.
Stemscopes material again enhanced for printing, where students have more room to write answers, and there is added reading that we focus on in class with partners to give deeper meaning.
